Next treatment

Alright TEAM LOWE, me and Verlonna will be heading to Charleston for treatment number 4 tomorrow. After this treatment Verlonna will have to get a new P.E.T. scan to see how much the the treatment has shrunk the tumor.
There will be more info to follow, so, keep the prayers coming and let God do his work on Verlonna.

New treatments start on the 1st of Dec.

We will be headed to Charleston, SC. on the 1st of Dec. to start her new treament: Ipilimumab. Ipilimumab is an monoclonal antibody (MAB), which is an antibondy that can recognize the differences between regular cells. And kill the melanoma cells. The Ipilimumab will cut off the bad cells and then retrain the bodys immune system to recongize and destroy the melanoma.

Change of Plans, No More IL-2

My IL-2 treatments started in August and was scheduled to be 4 cycles one week a month from Aug. through November. Friday Oct. 15th my doctor in Atlanta called and informed that my scans show that the cancer mass in my back has grown since August so the treatment is not working. I am grateful that there isn't any cancer in my lungs or any new areas. I will see Dr. Negrea (my Savannah oncologist) on Thursday Oct. 18th and he along with Dr. Lawson in Atlanta are working to find me another treatment. There is one that consists of a series of IV injections in Charleston, SC. Charleston is closer that Atlanta so I am excited about that. I will post an update Thursday after my appointment. I am so thankful to have options to keep up the fight. Thank you all for your support.

Pre-K

Just wanted to thank everyone at the Liberty County Pre-K for the awesome fundraiser they did today for TEAMLOWE. Dress up in your favorite decade day! Verlonna was able to go and even dress up like the 80's. She had an amazing time today and was so happy when i came home today.
